Bradley Stoke United Winners of local equipment grant

Bradley Stoke United were 'smiling from ear to ear' tonight after succesfully winning a local grant run by Tesco.

The grant, which was awarded after Bradley Stoke United collected the most in-store 'tokens', means £4000 worth of equipment will be invested into the club.

The tokens were given to shoppers after a purchase which were in turn placed into a voting box.

Heading the operation was U7 Coach Phil Townsend. It was a tense waiting period as the tokens were counted but Phil was said to be "over the moon" with the achievement.
He also said massive thanks were due to parents and friends who help the club over the course of the start of the year with their votes.

The Bradley Stoke United Committee would like to thank Phil personally for his work and efforts arranging and promoting the grant. This again shows our commitment to working hard to ensure local children get the opportunity to play football.
